Support the Arts, Transform Lives!
Your Donation Fuels Creativity and Inclusion
At Arts in CT, we are dedicated to providing art programs to youth in the state of Connecticut. Established in 2016, our organization expanded its mission during the COVID-19 pandemic to serve the community in a more holistic way. Recognizing the need for programs for both children and adults, Arts in CT has been creating a positive impact on communities throughout the state.
Our Mission:
Arts in CT is committed to providing arts programs and working alongside common core instructors to engage youth and boost creativity. Studies have shown that the arts are a great motivation and can enhance academic achievement. As a donor, you can help us continue our mission and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Our Impact:
The problem Arts in CT identified was the need for holistic support during a time of crisis. Through our programs, we provided creative outlets and mental stability to individuals of all ages, especially children from low-income families. Your contribution helps us continue this impactful work, creating a sense of belonging and unity in diverse communities across Connecticut.
Key Programs:
-
CIMS (Comfortable In My Skin): A project empowering girls of color to love themselves from the inside out, providing them with the tools to understand and articulate their identity.
Westville Performing Arts Center (WPAC): Located in Westville, WPAC offers programs in music, art, theater, and dance for children and adults. Monthly events foster community engagement.
Summer Camp: Providing over 100 youth with summer programs in music, art, theater, dance, and specialty programs like film and design.
Saturday School: Specialized programs preparing students for college auditions, led by professional artists.
Afterschool Programs: Enriching youth with artistic programs in schools and in-house programs for local communities in New Haven, Connecticut.
Connect Connecticut Together: A dance competition uniting youth from different schools, promoting school pride and community engagement.
How Your Donation Helps:
-
Access for All: Your support helps children from low-income families access art programs and creative outlets.
Empowering Artists: Arts in CT creates jobs for professional artists, empowering the local community.
Community Unity: Over 2000 people served this year, bringing communities together through the arts.
